But actually, it smells quite good.
And no, your guess was wrong. I'm NOT that disgusting. This combo is not for my own consumption.
Its my home-made hair mask!
;))
One fine morning last week I stumbled onto someone's blog who had a video on home-made avocado hair mask. Being born with naturally dry hair, anything that promises to improve my hair attracts me by nature. I still choose to believe in shampoos that promises easy, breezy, beautiful hair after x amount of washes. And my heart itches to buy any nice looking hair serum out there in the hope of saving my hair. But the reality is, everytime that happens, I regret my purchase afterwards.
So this time, hair masks. I can't go too far off with natural hair mask. After all, I don't need to buy one whole bottle of chemical and if I ever decide that it is useless, I do not need to chuck that whole bottle away. If avocado or banana hair masks do not work, easy: Just eat them then! ;))
I gave the avocado hair mask a try last saturday. I had a look at my hair in the mirror, I don't know whether I was partly influenced by a placebo effect, or in fact that mask did work, I found my hair slightly shinier and the best part is, I did not need to use a hair dryer to blow dry my hair and yet I wasn't a lion upon waking up the next day! Although, I still find my hair a bit dry.
Then I googled more into natural hair masks and I found this supposedly extra moisturising banana hair mask for dry, damaged hair. Since I had bananas at home and they seem to ripen extremely quickly with the hot weather these couple of days, I donated one banana for play purposes. LOL. So I had one ripe banana, mashed and pureed, 2 dollops of mayonnaise with a few drops of olive oil. The original recipe suggested blending the banana but I was too lazy to get the blender out, so I mashed it with a fork.
So, the reason I'm blogging about this is because I have to leave the mask on for 15-30 minutes and here I am writing, trying to kill time. And my head and I smell of banana and mayo. Ahahaha.
By the way, I did my chest x-ray today, and when I looked down at the form, it was written that I was 22 years old. Yes, I know I'm 22, but, looking at it written on the paper makes me a that bit depressed. I'm 22, no longer 21. Haih.
